recently I have been thinking about ambitions and dream. not that I have one but I just really wonder if having a dream (or clear goal) makes a successful person.
knowing what u want to achieve is actually a gift to one's life. And it is not fair to impose this on everyone because not everyone is shaped to know what they want to do.
its starting to sting me when I know I wont want to be a graphic designer for life. these "terms" for occupation listings seem to construct restrictions for dreams to happen. dreams to me, are open ended stuffs that I don't always stick to. and they often exist for a moment of excitement and later put aside for admiration. (without the courage to strive for it)
so what's left to work towards?
you dunno what to do and vaguely tell yourself that "its for your future..."
Its very contradicting to live a life when I want to know more about everything, picking up random knowledge and skill but yet the reality wants you to specialize... and people come to you for that expertise. People want you to focus on something and do it. The worse thing is that they want you to propose a specific area of your "interest"
It's time to hit myself back to the pure form and ask.. "what are you really interested in?"
